Tickle Monster!!

I've been hunched over a computer the last few days and it's taken a toll on my back and neck. I say this only to set context. So Roger was very kindly rubbing my back and shoulders after dinner as I sat on the floor in front of the couch. Bobby, who had been wandering around the living room in pursuit of things to climb, suddenly glanced over and took in the scene.

The next thing we knew he was across the room like a shot. He clambered up and started rubbing my collarbones. What service! I think he thought Daddy was tickling Mommy, and hey, he wanted to be in on that. Daddy, recognizing an opportunity, decided it would be better if he did tickle Mommy. Bobby redoubled his efforts. Hilarity and hiccups ensued.

We're still here

It's been brought to our attention that we've been neglectful bloggers. We haven't posted in almost two months, and that post didn't include any pictures.
Hmph.
So, here are some recent pictures from around here ...

We built a chocolate Oarhouse for the Center for Wooden Boats Auction ...

We hosted a romantic dinner to benefit Salish Sea Expeditions ...

We've had some lovely sunsets ...

Oh. You mean you want to see pictures of Bobby?

Yeah, OK. Whatever.

Bobby's great. He's running (especially if the dogs are chasing him, which is his favorite game). He's using his spoon to eat yogurt (we still load it up for him), and he's trying new foods. Olives are a favorite. After being in the works for about four months, he's finally got a new crop of teeth coming in, joining the six he got last fall. He's re-discovered consonents and is babbling up a storm -- we're sure an actual word will emerge any day now. He loves tickling and is pretty good at finding people's ticklish spots. He loves books and frequently presents us with what he wants us to read. He's very interested in climbing and every so often I'll glance over to see him trying to scale his piano -- he gets one knee up on the keyboard and can't figure out what to do with the other foot.

The last few days he's been laid low by a stomach bug. Our usually cheerful, giggly guy has been somber & sluggish, but he's on the mend now. Here he is double-fisting some Pedialyte.

Hmmm. Am I the cutest little boy ever?
Could be.
